What is the difference between PVC, Timber and Aluminium plantation shutters?
Aluminium has always been proven to be a stronger material than PVC and far less prone to sagging over time. With this in mind we can make Aluminium plantation shutters wider to allow a clearer view out of the window resulting in less panels being required.
Timber Plantation Shutters can be made from Poplar or hardwood both excellent options for indoor use but not suitable for external applications. Aluminium Plantation shutters are designed for both indoor and outdoor installation but do not have the natural look of the stained wood grained plantation shutters.
When made of Aluminium the blades can be sleeker resulting in more refined panels, whilst PVC plantation shutters have a bulkier design, are heavier and more prone to sagging over time.
